Meet Maria

Hi! My name is Maria Martinez. 

My healing path
I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. My healing journey started very young, under South American teachers. Fascinated by this unspoken world, I've dived into extensive studying in many philosophies and spiritual fields. I've walked through Transcendental Meditation, and Vipassana Meditation. I studied Reiki in different cultures (I lived in France for two years), Pranic Healing, Sound Healing, Breathwork, and Soul Journeys. I learned Human Biography (one of my favorites, and certified in Healing Touch, IFS, Ayurveda Counseling, and Family Constellations by Hellinger. I love being a student of A Course In Miracles 💗 and I am currently finishing Medication Intuition.

I believe that the act of searching within is the most beautiful journey you could ever allow yourself to go through. My prayer is to inspire this undertaking and magnify this abundance in you because we have been taught that seeking from others to resolve ourselves is the safe route. Truth is, if you are here you are ready!

My yogic path
I became a Kundalini Yoga, Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga, and Meditation teacher. I live a spiritual, yogic lifestyle, in a human body, with all the ins and outs of this human life. Yes, it is totally doable and so so beautiful! I've had the pleasure of studying with incredible teachers; Guru Singh, Krishna Kaur, Guru Prem, Tej Kaur Khalsa, and Gurumukh. My goal; to inspire you to have a healing practice. 

My art path
I once worked as a creative director for brands like Victoria's Secret, Pink, Justice, Pure Barre, Barre3, and Skin Perfect. I launched a woman's clothing brand for your Mind, Body & Soul. Of course, this is after endless blogs and creative endeavors! Everything you find in my store has been designed, created, and written by my guides and I, hence why you find so much Spanglish around - we are working on it ;)  It is all here to elevate your practice, support your journey, and inspire your power. 

Spiritual Laundry is a combination of my path as a healer, teacher, and artist. I've been married for 15 years. We have two incredible dogs, and we recently moved to Huntington Beach, California, so this Colombian soul does not have to deal with snow. :) Thank you for being here. Thank you for listening to your curiosity and sharing your heart with me. Healing is an important act, one only you can do for yourself ~ so we are kinda responsible ...and also, so we don't become extinct like dinosaurs. Enjoy this space,
